Not only does this help keep them on task for their daily schedule, but it also doesn’t discourage them from participating as well. Visual schedules are great for early learners because even if they can’t read yet, the can decipher what pictures mean. Instead of just saying the word “schedule” to them, sit down and have a conversation about the importance of having on as well. Your child might constantly hear you say that creating a plan and setting a schedule is important, but if you don’t tell them why they’re never going to understand it. Once you do that, you’ll see that your little one is actually on board with staying on task as long as they know what those tasks are.
